I have been a consultant gastroenterologist at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital since February 2010 where I provide a service in general and specialist gastroenterology. I am also a clinical lead for inflammatory bowel disease and have expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy including gastroscopy, sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy.
I qualified from St Mary's Hospital Medical School, London in 1997 then started sub-specialty training in 2002 in the Eastern Deanery. I developed an interest in inflammatory bowel diseases whilst doing research at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge and have many research publications on the genetics of inflammatory bowel diseases. He gained his MD in 2000.

I am married with 4 children (all boys). Previously I was an extremely keen rugby player - having retired I am now a minis rugby coach. I am also a keen cyclist and also enjoy golf and playing the piano badly.
