Some of the principal treatments carried out by Dr Manjit Kaur at Spire include:
Having completed my undergraduate training at the University of Nottingham, I returned to the West Midlands to complete my general medical training at University Hospitals Birmingham where I successfully obtained membership in the Royal College of Physicians, London in 2003.
Since then I have exclusively trained in dermatology. During my training, I have regularly presented papers at local, regional and international meetings and have won several regional and national prizes for my efforts - most recently on helping investigate the cause of sofa dermatitis in 2008. I have contributed to the field of knowledge by authoring 19 peer reviewed publications, and I have also authored a book chapter in a leading textbook.
I have recently qualified as a teacher in medical education at the University of Wolverhampton and have regularly delivered lectures for medical students, allied medical professionals and local GP's in the area. I have also been an invited lecturer on national dermatology training courses for hair disease, photo dermatology, and at the British Association of Dermatologists annual update meeting.
After obtaining specialist accreditation in dermatology in 2008, I worked as an honorary and locum consultant at the world famous St Johns Institute of Dermatology in London, specialising in hair disease and photodermatology. In April 2009 I commenced a full time Consultant Dermatologist post at Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust helping provide comprehensive dermatology services across the Solihull and Good Hope Hospital sites.
I am the lead consultant for the photodynamic therapy service at Good Hope Hospital, the phototherapy department at Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust and the topical diphencyprone and hair disease service at Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust.
