I am a Consultant Dermatologist at University Hospitals of Leicester. I qualified from Leicester Medical School in 2008 and completed my specialist training in Dermatology in the West and East Midlands in 2019.

I perform dermatological surgery and have a variety of procedures that I offer for symptomatic benign growths and for the treatment of skin cancers. I also perform cryotherapy and administer intralesional steroid injections where indicated.

I carry out a range of surgical procedures to diagnose and treat skin lesions. My work includes curettage and cautery, excision of lesions from the head, neck, limbs and trunk, as well as diagnostic procedures such as punch biopsies of lesions or rashes. I also perform shave excisions.

I am passionate about embracing digital solutions geared towards improving service and quality of dermatology care. I received national recognition on the implementation of a photo-sharing app to facilitate consultant led service in Dermatology at Leicester Hospitals.

My clinical and academic interests include complex medical dermatology with a specialist interest in inflammatory skin disease in adults and children, including Psoriasis, Eczema, Acne, Rosacea, Hidradenitis Suppurativa, Hair and Nail disorders. I am the Biologics Lead for Psoriasis in University Hospitals of Leicester driving psoriasis research locally.

I am fluent in Gujarati and Hindi and can consult effectively with patients who require a doctor familiar with their language without the need for a translator.
