I have a vast experience as a specialist in pain medicine and anaesthesia. My extensive experience in the management of chronic pain conditions includes back pain, neck pain, joint pains, headaches, facial pain, abdominal pain, pelvic pain, neuropathic pain, chronic post-surgical pain, complex regional pain syndrome and widespread pain.
I see patients in the outpatient clinic for a comprehensive assessment. Patient tailored pain management is my forte. I am an expert in pain medicine including interventional management. My areas of special interest include ultrasound guided interventional procedures. I am equally highly skilful in fluoroscopy (X-ray) guided procedures.
Having completed basic post-graduation training in anaesthesia in India in 2005, I moved to the United Kingdom in 2009. I completed my training in the United Kingdom as a specialist trainee in anaesthetics. I have also undergone a dedicated fellowship training programme in pain medicine. Additionally I have received personnel commendation from the Faculty of Pain Medicine, Royal College of Anaesthetists. I was awarded the prestigious FFPMRCA (Pain Medicine) Examination Prize for his excellent performance and for scoring highest in the country.
Currently, I work as a consultant in anaesthetics and pain medicine in The University Hospitals of Leicester – NHS Trust, United Kingdom since 2018. I am the lead for Pain Service in The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust since 2022 and have successfully steered many innovative projects.
I am the founder director of many innovative and highly reputed national and international pain courses attended by the delegates from the UK and abroad. I also have co-authored two textbooks.
