I trained in Haematology at St James' University Hospital, Leeds, Christie Hospital and Manchester Royal Infirmary where I was Leukaemia Research Fund Fellow.

I have been a Consultant in Blackpool for 16 years, during which time it has grown to become the regional centre for intensive treatment of haematological cancers for Lancashire and South Cumbria.

He has been chairman of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Haematology Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meeting since it started in 2006 and manages an active clinical trial programme at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals. He has been chair of the regional Haematology Network Site-specific Group for Haematology Programme Director for Stem Cell Transplantation in Blackpool

I am married with one daughter. My pastimes include cycling, reading, watching football and exploring the Lancashire coast with my dog.
