Dr Khalid Barakat

Consultant Cardiologist

MA (Oxon), MD, MRCP, FRCP

I did my initial training in Oxford and London and qualified as a doctor in 1991. After further specialist study, I was appointed as an NHS Consultant Cardiologist for Ascot, Slough and the surrounding areas in 2003.

Since then I have developed specialist interest in interventional cardiology, including angioplasty and permanent pacemaker implantation. More recently, I have developed an interest in the role of simulation based medical education.

In 2005, I co-founded Windsor Cardiology LLP with Dr Stephen Rex. The company was established to provide a local private interventional cardiology service to the community of Windsor and the surrounding areas of Berkshire and Buckinghamshire. I am a member of the Bupa Consultant Partnership scheme.
