Dr Kalpana Ragupathy

Consultant Gynaecologist

MBBS MRCOG FRCOG

I am a Consultant Gynaecologist with extensive experience in the assessment and management of a wide range of gynaecological conditions. I have a particular interest in gynaecological cancer, colposcopy and cervical screening, cancer risk assessment, and minimally invasive and robotic gynaecological surgery.

I see women with a variety of common and complex gynaecological problems, including abnormal or heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, pelvic masses and lumps, ovarian cysts, fibroids and adenomyosis. I also assess and treat vulval conditions, abnormal cervical smears and HPV-related abnormalities, as well as symptoms and concerns arising around the menopause.

I have specialist expertise in the investigation and management of gynaecological cancers and suspected cancer, including ovarian, endometrial and cervical conditions, and in assessing women who may have an increased inherited risk of gynaecological cancer.

I am the Lead Clinician for Gynaecological Cancer Services at NHS Tayside and am actively involved in medical education, surgical training and service development. I am committed to providing compassionate, individualised care, taking the time to understand each patient's concerns and explain investigations and treatment options clearly.
