I am an interventional cardiologist dealing predominantly with coronary artery disease and its consequences including myocardial infarction and heart failure. I was appointed in 2004 as a consultant cardiologist and has gained extensive experience particularly in assessment of possible coronary artery disease and heart failure. In addition I see a lot of general cardiology including the management of palpitations/ heart arrhythmias, high blood pressure as well as assessment of the cardiac patient undergoing non cardiac surgery. I am also interested in cardiac ultrasound and is able to provide on site scanning for the rapid assessment and diagnosis of important conditions like heart failure and cardiomyopathies. I have over the last few years, also been regularly involved in GP education through dedicated lectures .
