I am a consultant gastroenterologist at Spire Leeds Hospital. I specialise in all aspects of gastroenterology and endoscopy.
I graduated from the University of Nottingham Medical School in 1995. During this time I was awarded a 1st class Honours degree in Clinical Immunology. I moved to Yorkshire in 1996 and began working at St James’s University Hospital. I completed training in Gastroenterology in the Yorkshire Deanery in 2007. This included a three year research fellowship in Inflammatory Bowel Disease at the University of Leeds. I was awarded a PhD from the Leeds Institute of Molecular Medicine in 2008.
I was appointed as a Consultant to the Leeds General Infirmary in 2007. My current role involves being the lead clinician for Small Bowel diseases in Leeds. This includes a Specialist Coeliac clinic, participating in the Inflammatory Bowel disease tertiary service and providing a regional capsule endoscopy and small bowel enteroscopy service.
