I am a Consultant Dermatologist and have specialist interests in skin cancer, inflammatory skin diseases and paediatric dermatology.

I am a core member of the skin cancer MDT at University Hospitals Leicester and manage a large skin cancer clinic at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. This has given me expertise in diagnosing and treating all aspects of skin cancer. I am proficient in all types of dermatological surgery from simple removal of benign growths to advanced closure techniques for removal of malignant skin cancer. I also routinely perform cryotherapy for pre-cancerous lesions.

I have good experience in dealing with both common and rare inflammatory diseases of the skin. I make sure that all treatments are tailored to the individual and will endeavour to ensure patients are supported through this journey.

I am one of two dermatologists that run the paediatric dermatology clinic at the LRI and am involved in new and emerging treatments for eczema. I thoroughly enjoy the interaction with both children and parents and fully appreciate the problems that skin diseases can have on this age group.

I graduated from St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2010 with distinction. I went on to complete my foundation year training at London hospitals before completing my core medical training in the West Midlands. I subsequently completed my Dermatology training in the East Midlands before my appointment as a consultant.

In addition to my busy clinical work, my wife and I are blessed with three young children. This certainly helps me appreciate difficulties faced in busy working families and how treatment needs to be personalised. I am a keen sports fan enjoying both football and cricket. Finally I am developing my interest in photography.
