I am a Consultant Gastroenterologist working at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust. I am a very experienced gastroenterologist dealing with all general gastroenterological problems on a daily basis, including dyspepsia, GI motility disorders, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, liver and pancreatic diseases and nutrition-related problems.
My interest is in endoscopy. I have performed thousands of procedures including upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy. I am an endoscopy trainer and also a faculty and lead on JAG endoscopy training courses.
I perform bowel cancer screening colonoscopies and am also involved in complex polyp work for the trust. I have excellent KPI (key performance indicators) for my endoscopy work. I have been performing independent endoscopy procedures for over 10 years.
In addition to my clinical work, I enjoy teaching. I am an endoscopy trainer and a faculty and lead on various national JAG endoscopy training courses.
Patient care is my priority and I have an excellent rapport with my patients. I believe that a good rapport creates a close and harmonious relationship with patients.
