I have been a Consultant Rheumatologist at the Countess of Chester NHS Foundation Trust since 2016 and am Clinical Lead for Rheumatology. I run expert clinics in early arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and inflammatory bowel related arthritis. I am in charge of service development, modernisation and governance of best practice in rheumatology against best national and international standards.
I have considerable experience treating a wide range of rheumatic disorders such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, back pain, fibromyalgia, gout, frozen shoulder and tennis elbow.
I have a special interest in managing the whole body with holistic care and have Royal College of Physicians approved training in nutrition and lifestyle. I have also received training as a life coach.
I am a member of the British Society for Rheumatology (BSR), Group for Research and Assessment of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis (GRAPPA), The British Psoriatic Arthritis Consortium (BritPACT) and the British Medical Association (BMA).
I have published on comorbid disease in arthritis and its associated treatments. I continue to be active in research and am a principle investigator for several rheumatology trials and observational studies.
