I have been a Consultant Radiologist since 2009. I have been working at Spire Elland Hospital since 2011.

My primary specialty is chest imaging and I am the Senior Radiologist at the Local Lung Cancer MDT and perform around 80-90 CT guided lung biopsies per year. I am also able to undertake many other CT and ultrasound guided interventions.

I am the lead for Cardiac CT imaging at the local trust, having set up this service along with the cardiac perfusion imaging service. I am also the ARSAC licence holder for nuclear medicine tests at the local trust.

I am able to report chest CT imaging - nodule scans, high resolution CT chest, staging scans of the chest abdomen and pelvis both with and without contrast. I also report abdominal and pelvic CT imaging with and without contrast.

I am part of the Yorkshire Lung Cancer Screening Trial and am able to perform lung cancer screening scans.

I report over 1,000 chest imaging CT scans per year. I primary report approximately 200 cardiac CT scans (including coronary calcium screening scans) per year. This number is rising as our capacity increases.

I report over 1,000 chest abdomen and pelvic scans for various indications - weight loss, looking for cancer, following up cancer and cancer treatments, follow up of non-cancer and non-cancer treatments.

In terms of chest imaging, I mostly enjoy the scans looking at what the lungs are made up of, how they might be scarred or inflamed and offering solutions or diagnoses that the patient's own doctor might be able to manage for them. These are the High-Resolution CT scans (or HRCT).

I am the local discrepancy lead and organise and assess differences in opinion between reports between different radiologists. I provide input into cases being assessed for errors and also root cause analyses.
