Dr Hatef Mansoubi was appointed Consultant Radiologist subspecialising in cardio-thoracic imaging in 2008. During his specialist registrar training at Guys and St Thomas Hospital, he spent one year at Royal Brompton Hospital before undertaking a one year fellowship at Papworth Hospital. This was followed by intensive cardiac CT training in Germany with Professor Achenback and finally a further dedicated cardiac MRI fellowship at Southampton University Hospital.
Shortly after being appointed as a Consultant, Dr Mansoubi developed innovative clinical services by introducing cardiac CT and cardiac MRI (including stress service) across the trust and also established the cardiac CT service at CICS Sussex University campus for research. This has enabled the provision of a high quality, non-invasive imaging service for cardiac patients in Chichester, Worthing and Brighton.
Dr Mansoubi has set up a successful cardiac CT education course presenting live case studies and attracting delegates. The course has now been running yearly for the last three years. He is an active member of the Royal College of Radiology with an advisory role for cardiac imaging and has recently given lectures at both the Royal College of Radiology and the UK Radiology Congress. He continues to contribute to literature with recently published articles and is a Reviewer for the British Journal of Radiology.
