I am a Consultant Dermatologist for the past four years with a particular interest in oncodermatology, a branch of dermatology that focuses on supportive management of cancer treatment side effects that affect the skin, hair and nails aiming to improve quality of life and prevent unnecessary interruptions in cancer treatment.
I also have an interest in immunobullous (blistering) conditions, psoriasis, eczema and skin cancer. I am currently undertaking a research project on acne, a chronic condition that carries a significant psychological impact, and I recently set up an Acne Clinic where I address the complex medical needs of patients with acne.
I perform minor skin surgery and in particular skin biopsies, simple excisions, curettage and cautery and triamcinolone (steroid) injection for keloid scars and alopecia (hair loss).
