I am a consultant respiratory physician seeing patients at Spire with a wide range of lung and breathing problems. I specialise in helping people understand ongoing or complex respiratory symptoms and developing clear, personalised care plans that support day‑to‑day breathing and long‑term health.
I regularly assess and treat conditions such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), bronchiectasis, persistent cough and breathlessness where the cause is unclear. I also have extensive experience in managing complex lung infections and inflammatory lung conditions, including non‑tuberculous mycobacterial disease. My approach combines careful investigation with practical treatment plans tailored to each individual’s lifestyle and concerns.
At Spire, I can offer comprehensive respiratory testing to help identify the cause of symptoms, including advanced lung function testing, allergy blood tests, exercise testing and specialist imaging. These investigations allow for accurate diagnosis and targeted treatment, helping patients feel informed and reassured throughout their care.
Alongside my private practice, I work at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, where I lead community respiratory services and am closely involved in medication governance and service development. I am actively engaged in clinical research and regularly contribute to studies aimed at improving treatments for long‑term lung conditions, ensuring my practice reflects the latest evidence.
My aim is always to make complex respiratory problems easier to understand, helping patients feel confident, supported and involved in decisions about their care.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and walking my three dogs.
