I have experience in a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders. I treat conditions and disorders including Barrett's oesophagus, bowel cancer, Crohn's disease, diarrhoea, constipation, dyspepsia, rectal bleeding, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), and ulcerative colitis.
For the past decade I have been a lead gastroenterologist for Barrett's oesophagus and pancreatic disease as well as performing complex therapeutic endoscopic procedures. I have preformed an estimated 8,000 colonoscopies and 10,000 gastroscopies.
I graduated from the Royal London and St Bartholomew's hospital in 1996 and trained in those hospitals and other hospitals in the region including UCLH and the Royal Free hospital.
I am a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Basildon Hospital having been appointed there in 2009. I am a colonoscopist on the National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme which requires a higher standard of colonoscopic ability.
