I have been a Consultant Gastroenterologist since 2004. During that time I have acquired vast experience of treating people with a wide variety of gastroenterological and liver problems.
I undertake both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including gastroscopy, colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy. I regularly insert PEG tubes for feeding. I am the lead clinician for nutrition at Eastbourne District General Hospital. My clinical interests include inflammatory bowel disease, dyspepsia, gastro-oesophageal reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, functional gastrointestinal disorders, liver and pancreatic diseases and clinical nutrition.
During my 15 year career as a Consultant Gastroenterologist I have undertaken over 10,000 endoscopic procedures. I perform diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy, colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy on a weekly basis and am a highly trained and skilled endoscopist.
I was a member of the the Medical Advisory Committee at the Esperance Private Hospital for 10 years. I sit on the Regional Training Committee for specialist registrars in gastroenterology across Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

I lead the clinical nutrition team at Eastbourne District General Hospital. I was clinical lead for upper GI cancers across East Sussex Hospitals from 2008-2018.

I trained at Southampton Medical School and completed my higher specialist training in Ipswich, Norwich and Cambridge. I relocated to Eastbourne in 2004 to take up my post as a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Physician. My two teenage children attend school locally and I myself have a keen armchair interest in most sports, but do enjoy active participation playing tennis and golf. I have an eclectic taste in music and prefer vinyl over digital.
