I am a consultant rheumatologist seeing patients at Spire Murrayfield Wirral with joint, muscle and spine conditions that can affect everyday comfort, movement and quality of life. If you’re experiencing symptoms such as persistent pain, stiffness, swelling or fatigue, my aim is to provide a thorough assessment, clear explanations and a personalised treatment plan.
I look after adults with the full range of rheumatological conditions, including arthritis, inflammatory joint disease, back pain, connective tissue disorders, osteoporosis and chronic pain conditions. I have a particular interest in early inflammatory arthritis and lead an Early Arthritis Clinic within the NHS, allowing me to focus on prompt diagnosis and early treatment to help prevent long‑term joint damage.
At Spire, I am able to offer convenient access to the investigations needed to identify the cause of your symptoms, including blood tests and imaging such as X‑rays, ultrasound and MRI scans. I work closely with experienced musculoskeletal radiologists to ensure results are reviewed quickly and accurately. Treatments can include medication advice, joint or intramuscular steroid injections, and longer‑term management plans tailored to your lifestyle and priorities.
You do not need a GP referral to book an appointment, and I welcome both self‑referrals and referrals from GPs or other healthcare professionals.
Outside of work, I live on the Wirral with my family and enjoy staying active through yoga, ballet and walking my dog.
