I graduated from Edinburgh University and trained in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Milan. I was appointed as a consultant at the North West Heart Centre, Manchester in 2006 before moving back to Edinburgh in 2009.
As a cardiac electrophysiologist I have specific training in the advanced management of heart rhythm disturbances with individually tailored medication and radiofrequency ablation. I am also very experienced in the implantation and follow-up of implantable cardiac devices such as pacemakers, implantable defibrillators (ICD) and cardiac resynchronisation therapy devices (CRT) for patients with heart failure.
I have specialised experience in the investigation and management of heart rhythm disorders, dizzy spells and blackouts, and advanced heart failure management. Supraventricular tachycardia. Ventricular tachycardia. Implantable defibrillators (ICD). Cardiac resynchronisation therapy (CRT). Pacemakers. Inherited cardiac arrhythmias. Syncope.
