As a cardiac electrophysiologist I have specific training in the advanced management of heart rhythm disturbances with individually tailored medication and radiofrequency ablation. I am also very experienced in the implantation and follow-up of implantable cardiac devices such as pacemakers, implantable defibrillators (ICD) and cardiac resynchronisation therapy devices (CRT) for patients with heart failure.

I graduated from Edinburgh University and trained in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Milan. I was appointed as a consultant at the North West Heart Centre, Manchester in 2006 before moving back to Edinburgh in 2009.

I have specialised experience in the investigation and management of heart rhythm disorders, dizzy spells and blackouts, and advanced heart failure management.
