I qualified in medicine at Birmingham University in 2000 and trained in Clinical Oncology in Bristol where I was appointed as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist in 2011. l completed my oncology training as a clinical research fellow at the British Columbia Cancer Agency in Vancouver, Canada, where I specialised in stereotactic radiosurgery and the treatment of benign and malignant adult brain tumours.
I have an interest in technical radiotherapy, specialising in the treatment of adult brain tumours, including stereotactic radiosurgery, and skin tumours, in particular malignant melanoma. I have published work on stereotactic radiosurgery and external beam radiotherapy in international, peer reviewed journals.
