I am a Consultant Gastroenterologist based in Buckinghamshire with specialist registration in gastroenterology and hepatology. I have considerable expertise in interventional endoscopy and hepatopancreaticobiliary medicine. I take care to offer a relaxed consultation where patients are provided ample time to express all of their concerns.
I specialise in general gastroenterology and provide expert assessment and treatment for a wide range of digestive, liver, pancreatic, and biliary conditions. My areas of expertise include abdominal pain, changes in bowel habit, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), liver disease, and disorders of the pancreas, gallbladder, and bile ducts, including jaundice, gallstones, itching, and pancreatitis. I also provide Barrett’s oesophagus surveillance, colorectal cancer prevention and screening, liver health assessments, and personalised medical weight loss therapy tailored to each patient’s needs.
I perform a comprehensive range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, polypectomy, endoscopic ultrasound, and ERCP for bile duct and pancreatic disorders. In addition, I carry out advanced therapeutic endoscopy procedures such as PEG (gastrostomy) insertion, luminal stenting, and stricture dilatation.
I have performed diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy on a daily basis for over five years.
I was the first person in the country to achieve Joint Advisory Group on GI Endoscopy (JAG) accreditation in endoscopic ultrasound and ERCP.
I qualified from Barts and the London in 2014 where I was awarded the Goldberg-Schachmann and Freda Becker Bursary for exceptionally high academic ranking. I underwent specialist training in Oxford where I provided an active role within the British Society of Gastroenterology as the regional trainee representative. Post-training, I was awarded the internationally renowned advanced hepatopancreaticobiliary medicine fellowship at St James's University Hospital in Leeds.
I understand the gastrointestinal tract is unique to each patient and I aim to provide patient centred care for general gastroenterology related conditions. Alongside my medical degree, I have a Bachelor of Science in Sport and Exercise Medicine, therefore recognising the importance of fitness and nutrition to our overall gut health.
I am a faculty member of Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscopy training in Oxford.
I have a balanced approach to life, enjoying weightlifting, football and badminton. My twin boys also keep me busy!
