I am a Consultant Bariatric Physician specialising in Medical Weight Loss. The service offers a full range of weight loss therapies including up to date approved and licensed tablet and injectable weight loss therapies. I have been specialising in medical weight loss since 2002, In 2013 I was awarded a Fellowship with the National Institute for Care and Health Excellence (NICE) to lead on medical weight management and the prevention of diabetes. I also provide medical aftercare and follow up for a patient following bariatric surgery (gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy).

I specialise in medical weight loss treatments approved and licensed tablet and injectable therapies. I also provide aftercare and medical follow-ups for patients following bariatric surgery (gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy). As a Consultant Chemical Pathologist and Lipidologist, I provide a service for the management of cholesterol and lipids, including lipid-lowering medication.

I have been a Consultant Bariatric Physician since 2002. In 2010 I was elected President of the Pathology Section, Royal Society of Medicine.

I am Medical Lead for Medical Weight Management at an NHS Tertiary Referral Centre for Bariatric Surgery.

I am an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Birmingham Medical School.

I am a Founding Trustee of the British Obesity Society.
