I am a highly experienced Consultant Paediatric Endocrinologist with over 15 years of specialist expertise in the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of endocrine disorders and obesity in children and young people up to the age of 18.
Currently based at Leicester Royal Infirmary, I lead the Paediatric Obesity Service across Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland, and Northamptonshire. My practice is dedicated to delivering holistic, evidence-based care to support young patients in achieving better health outcomes.
I received his specialist training in Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital and the internationally renowned Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.
My clinical expertise covers a broad spectrum of paediatric endocrine conditions, including the assessment, initiation and monitoring of weight‑loss medications. I manage adrenal disorders such as congenital adrenal hyperplasia and Cushing’s syndrome, calcium and bone metabolism disorders including severe vitamin D deficiency and hypoparathyroidism, and all forms of diabetes, including Type 1, Type 2 and MODY. I also have extensive experience in treating growth disorders, pituitary conditions such as hypopituitarism and diabetes insipidus, pubertal issues including early and delayed puberty, and thyroid conditions such as hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism.
I am also an active contributor to academic research and has published papers in peer-reviewed journals, reflecting my commitment to advancing the field of paediatric endocrinology. Currently involved in multi-centre research study on medication in the treatment of Obesity in Children and Young people.
