Dr Amine Boughellam

Private GP

MD, GP CCT, PGCert Clin Sci (Diabetes)

As a GP with a keen interest in type 2 diabetes, mental health, preventative medicine, skin lesions, vertigo, and insomnia, I am dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare tailored to each patient's unique needs.

My journey began in 2003 when I qualified as an MD in Oran, Algeria. In 2011, after enriching experiences in France, Northern Ireland, and England, I completed my General Practice training in Leicester, earning my GP CCT. These diverse experiences have shaped my compassionate approach, emphasising thorough history-taking and understanding both the patient and the ailment.

In 2014, I obtained a PGCert Clin Sci (Diabetes) from the University of Leicester, enhancing my ability to provide advanced care for type 2 diabetes. My expertise also includes assessing and when indicated treating skin lesions, vertigo and insomnia.

Although my postgraduate studies did not specifically focus on mental health, I am committed to listening and offering support to those dealing with these concerns. I also provide tailored general health checks.

I believe in continuity of care, providing clear and informative consultation letters and test results. Empowering patients to make informed decisions is central to my practice. Committed to continuous learning, I strive to offer the highest standard of care to all my patients.
