I became a consultant in 2002 having been the first UK trainee to complete specialist training in Allergy. I am now a consultant at Queens Medical Centre Nottingham having previously been a consultant at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.
I specialise in Allergy with particular interests in the diagnosis and management of food hypersensitivity (including food anaphylaxis, IgE and non-IgE-mediated food allergy and food intolerance), anaphylaxis, urticarial conditions, angioedema, seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, latex allergy and mast cell activation syndromes.
In addition to my clinical work I am committed to Allergy education for the public as well as doctors and allied health professionals.
I am a member of the Scientific and Advisory Panel for the patient support group the Anaphylaxis Campaign providing specialist advice for their work in educating the public about life threatening allergies.
