I am a consultant in diabetes and endocrinology with a special interest in fatigue and weight gain. Many common conditions require a holistic approach to deal with the person as a whole behind the disease and I take pride in helping and empowering patients find answers to their symptoms. My approach tends to involve a listening, emphatic approach; and help discuss and understand options and reach a satisfactory resolution of symptoms.
Having completed my undergraduate training in Christian Medical College in Vellore (India), I completed a postgraduate degree in India and the UK. I have been a consultant at Manchester University Hospital for the past 12 years and am an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Manchester Medical School. I have a postgraduate diploma in education.
