I am a consultant histopathologist working as a specialist in gastrointestinal (including liver & pancreas) and breast pathology. I trained in general histopathology before developing these special areas of interest and expertise, and I therefore have a background of broad experience in pathology. I am also a consultant histopathologist at Southampton General Hospital where I work within the same fields and perform research in related areas.
I subscribe to the Royal College of Pathologists' continuing professional development (CPD) scheme and participate in relevant external quality assurance (EQA) schemes including the NHS breast screening programme EQA scheme.

Personal profile
I value the opportunity to provide a high quality and efficient histopathology service at Spire Southampton Hospital and, in particular, working as a specialist within defined areas of expertise. I also enjoy combining diagnostic pathology with academic interests, such as teaching and research. Outside of medicine, much of my time is spent with my wife and two young children. I also enjoy motorsport (as a spectator!), music, cooking, wine and gardening.
