Dr Adityanarayan Bhatnagar

I am a consultant oncologist specialising in the treatment of prostate, kidney, bladder, and lung cancers. I offer a wide range of modern cancer treatments, including targeted radiotherapy techniques such as IMRT, IGRT, MR‑Linac SABR, and brachytherapy, alongside hormone therapy, chemotherapy, and bone‑targeted treatments for prostate cancer.

For lung cancer, I provide personalised care using chemotherapy, radiotherapy, combined chemoradiotherapy, SABR, and immunotherapy, with a focus on delivering effective treatment while supporting patients throughout their care journey.

I joined as a consultant clinical oncologist in 2006 and am based in Southampton. Treating patients from the Southampton and Salisbury area. I was the lead clinician and the MDT lead for lung cancer services at University Hospitals Southampton from 2009 till 2012. And the chair for the radiotherapy and technical development group at the University Hospital Southampton from 2018 till 2021. I am supportive of clinical trials and have been a principal investigator in a number of trials.
