I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip, knee and foot and ankle surgery, with extensive experience in managing both routine and complex lower limb conditions. My practice is focused on providing high‑quality, evidence‑based care tailored to each individual, with the aim of restoring mobility, reducing pain and improving quality of life.
I graduated from Trivandrum Medical School in South India in 1996 and completed my postgraduate training in Orthopaedics there in 2000. I began my UK orthopaedic career at Blackpool Victoria Hospital in 2005 and have been practising there for the past 16 years. During this time, I have worked across multiple orthopaedic subspecialties, including foot and ankle surgery, lower limb arthroplasty and trauma surgery, gaining broad and well‑rounded experience.
My subspecialty interests include foot and ankle surgery, diabetic foot reconstruction, foot and ankle trauma and lower limb arthroplasty. I regularly manage complex foot and ankle problems and work collaboratively with colleagues when treating challenging cases, particularly those involving trauma and diabetic foot conditions.
In my clinical practice, I treat a wide range of conditions affecting the foot, ankle, hip and knee. These include Achilles tendon disorders, ankle instability, arthritis of the forefoot and midfoot, flat foot and cavus foot deformities, complex foot deformity correction, and diabetic foot reconstruction. I perform both open and arthroscopic procedures, including ankle, subtalar and midfoot fusions, ligament reconstructions, tendon surgery and tendon transfers. I also undertake primary hip and knee replacement surgery, as well as joint replacement and reconstructive procedures for the big toe and lesser toes.
