I specialise in general orthopaedic surgery with a special interest in all aspects of shoulder & elbow & upper limb surgery.
For shoulder this includes rotator cuff tears (full/partial); impingement; frozen shoulder; AC joint arthritis/dislocation; shoulder arthritis/dislocation; labral tears; fractures (shoulder, clavicle. Humerus; Pectoralis major rupture, lipoma. For the elbow this includes tennis elbow; golfer's elbow: ulnar nerve compression; arthritis; distal biceps/triceps tears; dislocation; fractures.
I also see patients with carpal tunnel syndrome, ganglions and fractures in the hand and wrist.
I am an experienced Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist focus on upper limb and trauma surgery. I have extensive expertise in joint replacements, arthroscopic surgeries, soft tissue procedures, and patient-specific/ navigated joint replacements.
After qualifying in 2001, I have trained extensively in India and obtained Master of Surgery (Orthopaedics). I trained mainly in the south of England, including at St Richard’s Hospital and Worthing Hospital. To further refine my expertise, I completed a Fellowship in Advanced Trauma from Brighton and a Shoulder & Elbow Fellowship from Manchester.
I have performed nearly 6000 operations since 2005 including nearly 650 shoulder procedures including joint replacements, open & arthroscopic shoulder surgery. I have also undertaken nearly 350 elbow procedures for trauma and elective conditions.
In addition to my clinical work, I am an RCS-accredited ATLS and BSS Instructor, actively involved in training and mentoring specialist trainees, junior doctors, and medical students.
Committed to delivering the highest standard of patient care, I integrate the latest advancements in Orthopaedics into my practice, with a particular interest in minimally invasive procedures for Shoulder & Elbow surgery to optimize recovery and clinical outcomes.
