Who will do it?

Our patients are at the heart of what we do and we want you to be in control of your care.

All of our dietitians are fully qualified and benefit from working in our modern, well-equipped hospitals and clinics.

Before your treatment

We're here to help you every step of the way. You will have a formal consultation with the dietitian of your choice. During this time you will be able to explain your medical history, symptoms and any concerns you might have.

Your dietician will discuss your medical history with you and also discuss whether they feel any other tests are needed.

With your permission our dietitian will liaise with your GP or consultant and provide a detailed discharge summary at the end of your treatment.

The procedure

We understand that having investigations or treatment, even for a relatively straightforward treatment such dietetics can be a time of worry. Our highly trained dietitians will be there with you, every step of the way.

Dietetics is a highly personalised form of treatment which varies depending on the condition you're suffering from. It uses various techniques:

  • Clinical nutrition assessment: A detailed evaluation of your dietary habits, health history, labs, and nutritional needs.
  • Personalised nutrition plan: Tailored dietary advice, meal planning, and therapeutic diet prescriptions.
  • Monitoring & review: Ongoing follow-up to adjust the plan based on progress, lab results, or changing medical needs.
  • Specialist dietetic support: May include nutrition for gastrointestinal conditions, oncology, metabolic disorders, or paediatric nutrition (depending on the team).

Aftercare

Your dietitian will support you in making sustainable dietary changes, with follow-up reviews and practical advice to help you maintain nutritional goals long-term.
