Who will do it?

Our patients are at the heart of what we do and we want you to be in control of your care.

All of our clinicians are fully qualified and benefit from working in our modern, well-equipped hospitals and clinics.

Before your treatment

We're here to help you every step of the way. You will have a formal consultation with the clinician of your choice. During this time you will be able to explain your medical history, symptoms and any concerns you might have.

Your clinician will discuss your medical history with you and perform a thorough assessment of your condition. They will also discuss with you whether they feel any other tests are needed.

With your permission our clinician will liaise with your GP or consultant and provide a detailed discharge summary at the end of your treatment.

Clinical pathology may include:

  • Urine / fluid analysis: To assess kidney function, electrolytes, proteins etc
  • Toxicology: Monitoring levels of drugs or toxins in the body
  • Specialist assays: For hormones, tumour markers, or disease-specific biomarkers

Aftercare

After a referral, samples are taken at one of Spire’s diagnostic labs, analysed by qualified scientists, and results are sent to your consultant. Your consultant will then interpret them and plan any further treatment, monitoring or follow-up.
