From innovative lens implants and laser technology to treatments that can reduce or even remove the need for glasses, this session will help you understand what the future of eye health looks like — and what options are available today. And if you have glaucoma or macular degeneration he will be mentioning those too.
Mr Alwitry is a highly respected Consultant Ophthalmologist at Spire Leicester Hospital, specialising in cataract and refractive surgery. He performs over a thousand cataract procedures each year with excellent outcomes and is dedicated to optimising patient care through the latest surgical advancements.
Alongside his clinical work, he serves as a GMC Expert Witness, Specialty Advisor to the CQC, and PSIRF Medical Ambassador for Spire Hospitals. He has authored several textbooks in ophthalmology, including works on glaucoma management and ophthalmology in primary care, and has contributed extensively to training and clinical governance in eye health.
