Mr Reza Mansouri

Trauma and Orthopaedic Consultant

MD FRCS(T&O) DipSEM(UK)

I have been a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Frimley Park Hospital since 2020. I specialise in all aspects of hip, knee, sports and trauma surgery.

I specialise in hip and knee surgery with special interest in sports injuries, knee ligament reconstruction, arthroscopic cartilage and meniscal surgery, realignment osteotomy procedures, patellofemoral (kneecap) instability surgery, joint replacement of the hip and knee including partial, total and revision surgery and robotic assisted surgery.

I completed my orthopaedic specialty training through St George’s Hospital rotation in London. During my training, I undertook a one-year trauma fellowship in New Zealand. Following completion of my specialist training, I undertook two years of sub-specialist fellowship training at internationally renowned Fortius Clinic in Bristol and London, Royal Berkshire Hospital and Frimley Park Hospital.

I have a keen interest in the treatment of sport related injuries. I have obtained the UK Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine and have been a member of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine UK.

I have participated in national trials and have published and presented nationally and internationally.  I continue to teach and act as an educational and clinical supervisor to trainee doctors.  I help with educating future knee surgeons by training senior knee fellows at Frimley Park Hospital.

My focus is on keeping people active and engaged in the activities they love and to help them return to their sports and hobbies. My approach is dedicated to supporting recovery from injuries and managing painful conditions to restore both mobility and quality of life. My belief is that many patients can be managed without surgery. I will always explore non-operative options with my patients while giving them honest, sensible and personalised advice on the most reliable surgical treatment options.
