Virtual consultations:
I have been a Consultant Gynaecologist for last 30 years in NHS and providing specialist private care at Spire Methley Park Hospital. My practice focuses on menopause and complex hormone health, colposcopy and vulval disorders, offering highly personalised, evidence-based care in a supportive and discreet environment.
I specialise in the management of perimenopause, menopause and premature ovarian insufficiency, creating tailored treatment plans that may include HRT, testosterone therapy and non-hormonal options. I have particular expertise in supporting women experiencing ongoing menopausal symptoms following cancer treatment.
As a Lead Colposcopist and Clinical Advisor for NHS England’s Colposcopy Quality Assurance programme, I maintain the highest standards in cervical screening, HPV management, CIN treatment and LLETZ procedures.
Alongside this, I manage complex vulval conditions including lichen sclerosus, VIN and chronic vulval pain.
I am passionate about empowering women through education and collaborative decision-making, ensuring each patient feels heard, supported and confident in her care. I believe that all women where ever they are should get quality care.
I have delivered numerous educational talks and led collaborative initiatives to improve menopause care in primary care settings. My presentation, “Improvement to Menopause Care – Collaboration across Wakefield District Primary Care”, has been recognised by the GIRFT NHS team and featured within NHS Best Practice resources.
I have been awarded twice by Mid York NHS Trust the Celebrating Excellence Award Ceremony for :Patient Safety, Service Improvement and Innovation.
On a voluntary basis, I teach and train nurses and doctors in low- and middle-income countries and have raised funds for RCOG initiatives supporting women’s health worldwide.

I have been practising women's health for over 40 years of which these were earlier in India and then in the NHS UK. I am very much involved in improving global women's health and have raised money for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) global women's health project by climbing Mount Rinjani in Indonesia.
I have started cervical screening projects in lower and middle income countries. I frequently visit Uganda, training nurses and doctors in cervical screening and treatment. I am very keen to raise awareness of cervical cancer and screening to prevent death by cervical cancer in lower and middle income countries.
I raise funds for Multiple System Atrophy Trust UK through sale of my published book Over Stones & Mountains.
