Professional profile

I am an experienced consultant in Reproductive Medicine & Surgery and additionally a Specialist in Reproductive Medicine (less than 5% of Obstetrics and Gynaecology specialists elect to take on this training).

As a specialist I have undertaken an additional three years of training acquiring advanced competencies and skills in infertility, fertility surgery and reproductive endocrinology.

This ensures a comprehensive and thorough approach to my patient care for both male and female infertility issues. As a specialist I am the consultant responsible for Assisted Reproduction Services at Bristol Centre for Reproductive Medicine in Bristol. I have previously been Clinical Director at the Centre for Reproductive Medicine at the University of Bristol Priory Road.

I am an accredited specialist in Reproductive Surgery. As well as expert knowledge and practice in assisted conception techniques I have a special interest in male infertility and am the Lead for Surgical Sperm Recovery Services at Bristol Centre for Reproductive Medicine.

I am the RCOG Sub-Specialist Programme Director for Bristol, supervising and training doctors in Reproductive Medicine as well as organising Study Days for GPs.

I am also the Module Leader for Reproduction & Development MSc at the University of Bristol. I maintain an active interest in research and have authored many publications.
