MCSP
I graduated in 1992 from The Royal Liverpool Hospital with a Distinction in Physiotherapy. I initially worked at Broadgreen Hospital and after two years began to specialise in orthopaedics. After five years I transferred to St Catherine's Hospital working as a Senior Physiotherapist for the next two years.
Early into my career, I began to study Acupuncture which led to gaining an advanced certificate in Chinese Medicine from Renshu College in London in 1999. I then worked as an Acupuncturist in private practice for five years, treating a wide variety of conditions. From this, I moved back to working in a hospital setting at Spire Murrayfield and have been working here since 2005, specialising in out-patients and treating many post-operative conditions.
In the past ten years, I have been studying and teaching Pilates classes, having trained as an APPI instructor. This is an area I am particularly passionate about, and I run 1:1 sessions with clients - some attending for specific issues, some purely to maintain good fitness. My more recent areas of speciality are spinal issues and the menopause. I am very keen on good health for mind and body and applies this philosophy drawing on all my previous experience when treating my patients.
