I am a Consultant Eye Surgeon with over 20 years experience in ophthalmology and I have been the Lead Clinician for the Royal Eye Unit in Kingston. I have received Excellence Awards for my work in the NHS.
I specialise in the management of cataracts including specialist lens implants and in the NHS I also treat children's eye conditions. I offer the following services at Spire St Anthony's Hospital: standard cataract surgery, removal of lid lesions (cysts, warts, skin tags) and consultations for eye problems especially dry eyes, red eyes short term changes in vision.
I have performed over 3,000 ophthalmic procedures and receive excellent feedback from my patients.
I qualified from Manchester University and trained in general surgical training before specialising in ophthalmology. My particular interests are in cataract surgery, paediatric ophthalmology and general ophthalmic queries. I trained in centres of excellence including St Paul's Liverpool, Scotland, London and Cambridge.
I have also worked as the Royal College of Ophthalmologists tutor in charge of doctors training and the governance lead in charge of safety.
