I was appointed as a consultant in 1998 when the new cardiac surgery unit opened in Brighton. I trained in London and worked at the Brompton, Harefield, St Mary’s, St Thomas' and King’s Hospitals.

I am experienced in all aspects of cardiac surgery and have a specialist interest in the following:- cardiothoracic surgery, mitral valve repair, mini aortic valve replacement, beating heart coronary artery bypass surgery, percutaneous aortic valve replacement (TAVI), minimal aortic valve replacement – stentless aortic valves and sutureless, TAVI (trans catheter aortic valve implantation) – percutaneous aortic valve procedures.
