I have carried out over 1,000 arthroscopic procedures on both shoulders and elbows, and over 250 shoulder joint replacements.
I have also dedicated my career to teaching future surgeons. I am an educational lead participating regularly in the training ARCP process for the Birmingham Orthopaedic Training programme. I teach on FRCS and surgical skills courses.

I have a fulfilling family life, my two children keeping my wife and I very busy indeed. When I do get some time to myself I enjoy climbing and bouldering, running, and kickboxing.
I play electric bass and to a lesser extent 6 string guitar. Whilst not currently in a band I have previously been a member of 2 amateur bands (one of which released an album). I read science fiction and thoroughly enjoy live Rock and Metal music.
