MBChB, PhD, FRCS (Vasc), PGCE (Med Ed)
I am a Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon based at Manchester Royal Infirmary, part of the Manchester Foundation Trust, one of the largest vascular units in the UK. During my training, I was awarded a PhD by the University of Manchester for my research detailing the role of carotid artery disease in the prevention of stroke. I continue to maintain a strong interest in research, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in vascular health.
My practice encompasses all aspects of vascular care, ranging from both open and endovascular (stent) repair of aortic aneurysms to bypass surgery for peripheral arterial disease and carotid artery surgery. Additionally, I specialise in minimally invasive surgery for varicose veins and recently established a community-based NHS varicose vein service.
As a dedicated educator, I have completed a postgraduate certificate in medical education and enjoy sharing my expertise with the next generation of medical professionals. I have also recently completed a course in Digital Transformation in Healthcare with Imperial College, London.
I am committed to consulting patients on all aspects of vascular health with a personalised approach to treatment, ensuring the highest standards of care and patient satisfaction.
