I am the Lead Clinician for complex mitral and tricuspid valve disease at Glenfield Hospital and a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon. My areas of experience and expertise are in mitral valve surgery, total arterial revascularisation, tricuspid valve repair, coronary artery bypass surgery and aortic valve replacements. I also perform endoscopic mitral valve surgery; and I perform Cox Maze IV as a concomitant procedure.
I have performed almost 2,000 major cardiac operations.
I completed my training in Cardiothoracic Surgery in 2012 from Rigs Hospital, Copenhagen, Denmark and subsequently did fellowships in mini-mitral surgery from Sheffield University Hospital and an advanced post CCT clinical fellowship at Toronto General Hospital in Canada. I also did an advanced travelling fellowship at Saint-Luc Hospital in Brussels.
I have worked in several countries including India, Denmark, Norway, Canada, Belgium and the United Kingdom.
