MBBS, MRCOG
Specialises in
I am a Consultant Gynaecologist with over 15 years’ experience, treating a wide range of gynaecological conditions including heavy periods, fibroids, ovarian cysts and endometriosis. I have particular expertise in urogynaecology and pelvic floor disorders, such as vaginal prolapse (including cystocele, rectocele and uterine prolapse), stress urinary incontinence, overactive bladder and recurrent urinary tract infections.
I offer a full range of conservative and surgical treatments, always tailoring care to the individual. Surgical options include hysterectomy (keyhole, vaginal or abdominal), prolapse repairs, minimally invasive surgery for urinary incontinence (TVT), and keyhole surgery for post‑hysterectomy prolapse (sacrocolpopexy). I also perform both open and keyhole surgery for menstrual disorders, fibroids and ovarian cysts. Across my NHS and private practice, I carry out around 400 procedures each year.
Alongside my clinical work, I hold several leadership and academic roles. I am Clinical Lead for Urogynaecology at Liverpool Women’s Hospital NHS Trust, Director of Medical Education, and Training Programme Director for the RCOG Sub‑specialty Training Programme in Urogynaecology for Merseyside. I am also involved at national and international level through professional committees, contributing to guidelines, training and service development.
These roles allow me to remain actively involved in education, research and the continuous improvement of patient care.
Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my family, outdoor activities, DIY and reading.
