I pride myself on providing personalised, tailored care and have built a reputation for my surgical skills and commitment to my patients’ well-being. I was educated at King Edward VI Grammar School, Birmingham and studied medicine in Marischal College, University of Aberdeen. My dedication and commitment to surgery were recognized when I was awarded the Jamieson Medal for my outstanding achievements in anatomy.
I embarked on my urology training along the East coast of Scotland, after a firm grounding in Wellington, New Zealand. I gained invaluable experience working in major centres and academic institutions such as Edinburgh and Aberdeen. During this time, I honed my skills in keyhole surgery for cancer, female incontinence and complex stone work.
My other treatments include: Laser prostate surgery, upper tract laparoscopy.
My clinical interests include: core urology, prostate cancers, stone disease.
I undertook an intense 15-month fellowship in one of the busiest prostatectomy, nephrectomy and stone centres, internationally in Sydney, Australia from 2012- 2014. I excelled in prostate cancer diagnostics and currently prefer fusion software biopsy, but have helped the local Trust to perform LATP biopsies in the outpatient setting.
It was during my time in Sydney, Australia, that I began performing Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP) and Urolift, techniques renowned for their effectiveness in treating benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
My patients appreciate a personalized approach, and I take the time to listen to their concerns, answer their questions, and create tailored treatment plans that address their unique needs.
