I am a consultant orthopaedic hand and wrist surgeon seeing patients at Spire Murrayfield Wirral for the assessment and treatment of a wide range of hand and wrist conditions. My practice focuses exclusively on the hand and wrist, allowing me to offer highly specialised and tailored care.

I regularly see patients with hand and wrist injuries, fractures, instability and longer‑term conditions that affect function or cause pain. This includes both planned elective care and injuries following trauma. Wherever possible, I aim to start with safe, non‑surgical treatments such as injections or hand therapy, and only recommend surgery when it is truly necessary.

When surgery is required, my approach is to use minimally invasive techniques where suitable, helping to support recovery and reduce disruption to daily life. I am experienced in modern techniques such as wide‑awake surgery, which can avoid the need for general anaesthetic in appropriate cases and allow patients to recover more comfortably.

Alongside my private practice at Spire, I work within the NHS at Aintree University Hospital, where I manage complex hand and wrist trauma as part of a major trauma service. I am also closely involved in training future surgeons and currently act as educational lead for core surgical trainees.

My aim at Spire is to provide clear explanations, practical advice and a treatment plan that fits your needs, helping you regain confidence and use of your hand or wrist as quickly and safely as possible.
