I have been a consultant in gynaecology and obstetrics at Southend Hospital for nearly 10 years, and provide comprehensive services in obstetrics and gynaecology including acute emergencies. I have considerable experience in general and operative gynaecology and have performed many surgical procedures in gynaecology and obstetrics in the last 20 years. I worked in leading teaching hospitals in India and England (Sheffield, Leicester and London).

I provide comprehensive services in general gynaecology. These include investigation and management of menstrual disorders, fibroid uterus, genital prolapse, pelvic pain, recurrent miscarriage. I have performed many surgical procedures including abdominal hysterectomy, vaginal hysterectomy, surgery for genital prolapse, hysteroscopy, endometrial ablation, laparoscopy, and treatment of vulval/ vaginal disorders.

I am an accredited colposcopist and proficient in the treatment of women with abnormal cervical smear and pre-cancerous cells. I have performed surgical procedures such as LLETZ (loop excision of transformation zone), NETZ (needle excision of transformation zone) and cone biopsy. I provide pre-pregnancy counselling services.

I am the clinical lead in obstetrics and gynaecology at the Southend Hospital. I was the clinical governance lead in women and children's directorate at the Southend Hospital from 2010 until 2015. I am the lead consultant in O and G, organising the undergraduate medical education teaching programme in obstetrics and gynaecology.

I have an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer contract at the Barts and the London Medical School. I am a member of the RCOG Professional Development Committee. I am actively involved in education, teaching and research. In recognition of my contributions, I have been awarded an honorary title as Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Barts and the London Medical School.

I welcome appropriate patients wishing to refer and pay for treatment themselves without the need for a GP's letter of referral. I am available for appointments at the Spire Wellesley Hospital on Tuesday mornings from 9am-12pm.
