MBBS, MD, FRCS
I am a highly experienced Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon with over seven years experience as a consultant, practising at Spire Little Aston Hospital, as well as Clinical lead for colorectal surgery at Walsall Manor Hospital.
I specialise in minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer and benign bowel conditions. I provide expert care for a wide range of colorectal problems, including bowel cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticular disease, rectal prolapse, haemorrhoids, anal fissures, fistula in ano, pilonidal sinus disease, and complex colo-vesical fistulae. I perform Transanal Hemorrhoidal Dearterialization (THD) surgery for haemorrhoids (piles) which is one of the best ways to treat piles with less pain than with conventional surgery. I also perform keyhole gall bladder surgery, groin and abdominal wall hernias, lumps and bumps excision.
I am a JAG-accredited endoscopist with extensive experience in high-volume diagnostic and therapeutic upper (gastroscopy) and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy (colonoscopy), offering prompt assessment of symptoms such as rectal bleeding, altered bowel habit, anaemia, and abdominal pain. In addition to major bowel surgery, I also offer keyhole surgery for gallstones and laparoscopic/open repair of abdominal wall and groin hernias. I am committed to delivering personalised, patient-centred care with clear communication and modern minimally invasive techniques to support faster recovery and excellent outcomes.
I completed an advanced robotic and minimally invasive colorectal fellowship at the Champalimaud Foundation in Lisbon, a leading international centre for colorectal cancer care and innovation. During this fellowship, I gained high-level experience in complex colorectal cancer surgery, advanced minimally invasive and robotic techniques, and multidisciplinary management of challenging cases. This experience enhanced my technical skills, decision-making, and adoption of modern surgical approaches, which I now incorporate into my routine practice to offer patients safe, precise surgery with faster recovery and excellent oncological outcomes.
