I am the Consultant in Upper GI and General Surgeon practicing in South Wales with a particular interest in gall bladder, hernia and acid reflux surgery.
I offer diagnostic workup and treatment for gall stones, all types of groin and abdominal wall hernia and problems related to stomach and esophagus. I also offer upper GI endoscopy, keyhole surgery for bile duct stones and complex incisional hernia repair.
I completed all my surgical training in the UK. After basic surgical training I undertook a period of research at King' s College hospital, London leading to award of MD. My higher surgical training was in South Wales after which I completed a period of fellowship in upper GI Surgery.
I am the lead for clinical governance in surgery at my local health board. I am involved in teaching medical students and trainee surgeons in various capacity throughout my career. I am a honorary lecturer at Cardiff University.
