MBChB MRes MSc AFHEA PhD FRCS
I qualified from the University of Manchester in 2010. Following academic and surgical training in Manchester, I was a Vascular Surgery Research Fellow at Stanford University, California (2012). I completed my PhD at both the University of Cambridge and Harvard University, Boston (2015-2018) in molecular imaging in cardiovascular disease and worked at MIT, Boston, in the department of chemical engineering, researching novel endovascular drug delivery techniques.
I held a NIHR clinical lecturer post in vascular surgery at the University of Cambridge (2021-2024). I completed my higher surgical vascular training in the East of England deanery (Cambridge, Norwich, Colchester, and Ipswich). Following my training, I completed an endovascular fellowship at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Klinikum in Munich, Germany, in complex aortic and peripheral vascular disease as a British Society of Endovascular Therapy (BSET) travelling fellow.
I specialise in vascular and endovascular surgery, performing open and keyhole ('endovenous') surgery for varicose veins. I have significant experience in assessment and management of patients with arterial aneurysms, peripheral arterial disease and carotid disease.
